George Greene

George Greene was a successful petroleum engineer from Texas who embarked on an excavation of the Money Pit in 1955. The fascination obviously ran in the family as it was George’s Uncle, a Mr Shields who financed the 1904 dig in which a young Roosevelt was involved.
